Meet the Team

Hello everyone, my name is Chris, the founder of Family First Bookkeeping.

I've spent the last 2 years working as the bookkeeper and office manager for a large company that manages six different businesses across multiple industries. That experience has given me a deep understanding of complex financial systems, multi-entity bookkeeping, and what it takes to keep operations running smoothly behind the scenes.

I started Family First Bookkeeping because I saw a real need—especially among families, solo entrepreneurs and small business owners—for honest, reliable, and personalized bookkeeping support. As a working parent and business professional, I know how hard it is to wear all the hats. My goal is to take the weight of bookkeeping off your shoulders so you can focus on what matters most: your business and your family.

Starting my AAT journey in August 2023, within 16 months of self teaching myself I had completed the level 2 & 3 qualification and became a qualified bookkeeper, took out my own license and created my own business.

Gaining experience along the way from working in an accountancy practice, I got knowledge of producing end of year accounts and bookkeeping.

Whilst the job was great I did not like the full time hours, because there was no time left to spend with my wife and kids. That had to be rectified! So I left my position for a job in industry working as a finance assistant on part time hours.

After only 9 months of working in the company progressing myself to Bookkeeper/Office Manager and processing payroll for up to 60 employees I'm satisfied and confident within myself to offer my services and experience through my company.
